‘The Neverlands’ by Damhnait Monaghan.

I’ve just read ‘The Neverlands’ by Damhnait Monaghan @Downith on @vpresspoetry

A wonderful example of how to write family in microfictions, with a story as rich in its gaps as the masterful prose.

You’d know that sloppy scrawl anywhere. Sheila’s handwriting was never the same after the nuns tied her left hand behind her back.

Bleak, joyful and highly recommended.
